Edite Rosa
PhD in Architecture (2006), Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (ETSAB-UPC). Holds a degree in Architecture from the Oporto School of Architecture (FAUP, 1991), having been awarded a FCT-MES scholarship for her doctoral studies in the Department of Architectural Projects at ETSAB.
Associate Professor in 2nd and 3rd cycle Architectural Studies, teaching Theory and Design Studio courses at Lusófona University of Porto (ULP) and University of Beira Interior (UBI).
PhD researcher at Arq.ID – Architecture Research and Development Laboratory of Lusófona University – and at the Center for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, integrated in the Atlas da Casa group.
She has published articles on contemporary architectural theory and practice in international journals and conferences (docomomo International, CA2RE+, among others), and has delivered lectures, communications and participated in national and international workshops.
She has maintained professional practice since 1991, collaborating with Álvaro Siza as project team coordinator in several works, including the Library of the University of Aveiro, Marco de Canaveses Church and Parish Center, Town Square and parking of Momadona (Guimarães), and the urban and housing plan of Felgueiras municipality.
Founded her architecture studio (erja-arquitectos) in 1998 in Porto, developing and co-developing projects in housing, public buildings, and urban space design. Her work has been distinguished with several awards and shortlist mentions in public competitions.
